Yayasan MAF Indonesia (Ymafi) is a not-for-profit organization that flies small aircraft into some of the most remote places of Indonesia. Working together with the Department of Transportation, we have helped serve the people of Indonesia where there are no other transportation options available. Ymafi is working in agreement and cooperation with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF-US) an organization that has operated for over 60 years in Indonesia.
It is the conviction of Ymafi that through the use of our safe and sustainable service, we can help improve the health and education of Indonesians in remote areas. Our services also enable local economies to grow by providing Indonesian businesses greater access to inaccessible areas.
Ymafi is specially positioned to support provincial Departments of Health. Each of the provinces that are served by Ymafi have access to our “on call” medical evacuation services. Additionally, we have been providing a special standby emergency air ambulance service in Aceh at the request of the Aceh Department of Health, and will continue to do so in the future
In Indonesia, rugged mountains and dense jungles prevent normal access to necessary services. Our aircraft, with only a short flight, can save hours or days of difficult travel by land or river. We make it possible for these remote communities to thrive physically, economically, and spiritually. It is our privilege to serve these isolated communities and the Indonesian people who need help the most.
